Brooklyn=Hip Hop

Some of the best hip hop artist of all time are born and raised in Brooklyn. The 2 most famous though are the late great Notorious B.I.G. and Jay-z. Both born and raised in the Bedstuy section of Brooklyn grew to become two of the most recognized names in the entertainment industry.

The Notorious B.I.G. a.k.a. Biggie Smalls was and still is the greatest rapper of his generation and if it wasn't for senseless acts of violence he may still be here putting out excellent music but his life was cut short in 1997 when he was gunned down in Los Angeles.

Sean Carter a.k.a Jay-z is the retired rapper and now business mogule from Marcy projects. He started out in the early 90's after retiring from the drug game and started his own record label. Now he is married to one of the most famous entertainers in the world, Beyonce and is probably one of the wealthiest and most successful people out of Brooklyn.
