New York Aquarium

The New York Aquarium was founded in 1895 and was called the New York Zoological Society, now located just blocks away from Coney Island park , the aquarium is still a main brooklyn attraction. Brooklyn Heights Promenade

the Brooklyn heights promenade is a beautiful spot for families and couples to go for one of the best views brooklyn has to offer. On the 4th of July the Promenade is a popular spot for people to come and get a great view of the fireworks without the hassle of traveling all the way to manhattan. The walkways offer views of downtown Manhattan, the East River and the Brooklyn Bridge. With flowerbeds, playgrounds, and two rows of benches, the park is a favorite place for joggers, walkers and roller-bladers. On the weekends the promenade is packed with families out for a beautiful relaxing evening.

The Brooklyn Botanical gardens is a wonderful and beautiful museum where you can see some of the most beautiful plants and flowers ever. Located on 1000 Washington Avenue, Brooklyn, NY the gardens is in a very good and family oriented neighborhood. The gardens opened in 1910 and has been a premiere attraction ever since. People use the gardens to hold wedding and parties and at night it is one of the most beautiful sights you will ever see. Some of the best hip hop artist of all time are born and raised in Brooklyn. The 2 most famous though are the late great Notorious B.I.G. and Jay-z. Both born and raised in the Bedstuy section of Brooklyn grew to become two of the most recognized names in the entertainment industry.

The Notorious B.I.G. a.k.a. Biggie Smalls was and still is the greatest rapper of his generation and if it wasn't for senseless acts of violence he may still be here putting out excellent music but his life was cut short in 1997 when he was gunned down in Los Angeles.

From the different people to the many activities Brooklyn is most definately the best borough (at least in my opinion). Just like every other city there is good and there is bad and although brooklyn is not the safest place to live there's never a dull moment and for that reason I Love my City!!
